Nature in the tropical world produces tons of green in a wide variety of shapes and color gradations. The ultimate intention of this wild creation is -hidden from our habitual gaze- a golden order of balance among various leaf-clad beings, commonly called trees and bushes. Each of these beings, endowed with a unique quality, undertakes in the law of live and let live, its own role, position, and task for the creation of this magically appearing harmony.
Green, green, green wherever you look; overwhelmed, the focusing eye gets lost. Shaking and wobbling, the wind stirs up this sea of leaves. With the sound of roaring in the ears the body itself begins to waver. The foaming green gout tempts you to dive into it, and dancing, become a whirlpool yourself, or one faces the spectacle with firm stance and boundless spirit while the dissolved order flutters and swirls fiercely around the serene soul in sweeping veils. No form, no structure on the outside promises more support, only to be found within oneself. Thus, in contemplation, blossoms the vibrant, pulsating beauty of the layered diversity of green.
My pictures arise from and are dedicated to these contradictory feelings.
